Paul Hewitt Architect has been involved in works to this church over the last decade. The church is of Georgian construction with later Victorian alterations. The practice proposed taking out the Victorian pews and organ screens and completely reordering the church itself. The crypt of the church was also converted to provide meeting rooms, a kitchen and associated facilities.
The works have been recently completed with the addition of a new narthex and balcony to the West end of the church. The first phase of the works achieved a Ripon Civic Society Best Restored Building Award.
