Looking well is an arts based therapy centre in High Bentham and at the time of the involvement of Paul Hewitt Architect the client was looking for a suitable building to convert. A disused warehouse was chosen as the new base for the organisation. Paul Hewitt Architect was involved in the search for the building,
its alteration and adaptation for this use.
The alterations involved the construction of a new accessible lift and the complete refurbishment of the building to current building regulations standard. This included the insertion of new timber stud lining walls with recycled paper insulation to meet the ecological aspirations of the client.
