This project comprised the conversion of what was thought to be a 17th
century shop into an office with a self contained flat above. The works were
carried out in association with a Buildings Archaeologist under a watching
brief. The building was found to date from the 15th century. The conversion
included a full upgrade of the property to current Building Regulations, a
real challenge with such an historic building.
The building was awarded a Ripon Civic Society Best Restored Building Award
on completion.
