Boston Castle is a Grade II listed hunting lodge set on a hill in a park in Rotherham. The project achieved Heritage Lottery Fund funding to conserve the Castle and extend it to provide a new education centre.
Due to the sensitivity of its setting it was proposed to construct the extension partially underground on one side of the Castle to minimize the impact on its setting. Consent was also achieved to demolish a later Victorian extension and construct a new stair and lift access tower adjoining the Castle.
